WideTab 是一款本地优先的标签页管理浏览器扩展。我们高度重视你的隐私。

我们收集什么

WideTab 不收集、不上传、不出售任何个人数据到我们的服务器。我们没有任何服务器。

所有数据——标签页信息、分组、历史聚合、快照、设置——都仅存储在你本地浏览器中(chrome.storage 与 IndexedDB)。

关于「云端 AI 聚合」(可选,默认关闭)

仅当你主动开启「云端 AI 聚合」并勾选同意后,扩展才会在你点击「智能整理」时,把标签页的标题与域名发送到你自己填写的 AI 服务端点(例如 DeepSeek / OpenAI / Azure OpenAI)。

• 该数据直接从你的浏览器发往你配置的端点,不经过任何第三方(包括我们)。
• 默认会剥离 URL 参数(脱敏),并排除敏感域名。
• 数据如何被该 AI 服务处理,取决于你所选服务商的隐私政策。
• 你随时可以关闭此功能;关闭后不再发送任何数据。

权限说明

• tabs / tabGroups:读取与整理标签页,这是核心功能。
• history:可选地把浏览历史纳入聚合(本地处理)。
• storage / alarms:本地保存设置与定时维护。
• favicon:显示网站图标。
• sidePanel:提供侧边栏界面。
• 可选 host 权限(https://*/*、http://*/*):仅在你启用云端 AI 时,按需申请对你所填 AI 端点的访问权限;不用于访问网页内容。

替换新标签页

本扩展会将浏览器的新标签页替换为 WideTab 的星图管理页。你仍可通过地址栏正常输入网址。

WideTab is a local-first tab management browser extension. We take your privacy seriously.

What we collect

WideTab does not collect, upload, or sell any personal data to our servers. We have no servers.

All data — tab info, groups, history aggregation, snapshots, settings — is stored only in your local browser (chrome.storage and IndexedDB).

About "Cloud AI Clustering" (optional, off by default)

Only when you explicitly enable "Cloud AI Clustering" and opt in, and only when you click "Smart Organize", the extension sends tab titles and domains to the AI endpoint you configured yourself (e.g. DeepSeek / OpenAI / Azure OpenAI).

• This data goes directly from your browser to your configured endpoint, never through any third party (including us).
• URL query parameters are stripped by default, and sensitive domains are excluded.
• How that AI service handles the data is governed by that provider's privacy policy.
• You can disable this feature at any time; no data is sent once disabled.

Permissions

• tabs / tabGroups: read and organize tabs — the core feature.
• history: optionally fold browsing history into clustering (processed locally).
• storage / alarms: local settings and scheduled maintenance.
• favicon: show site icons.
• sidePanel: provide the side panel UI.
• Optional host permissions (https://*/*, http://*/*): requested only when you enable Cloud AI, on demand, to reach the AI endpoint you entered; never used to read page content.

New tab override

This extension replaces the browser's new tab page with WideTab's star-map manager. You can still type URLs in the address bar as usual.
